Get in the Routine
1. Kick Back: Stand upright and place feet parallel and hip distance apart, balance centered. Roll your weight onto the back of the soft foam heel â" hold for a count of five and then back to the center. Do not lock knees or tip backward. Stretches calf and hamstrings. Repeat 5 to 10 times.
2. Rock and Roll: Stand upright and place feet parallel and hip distance apart, balance centered. Roll your weight forward so you are balancing on the underside of your toes â" hold for a count of two, then slowly rock back to the soft heel â" hold for a count of two, and then back to your center of balance. Do not lock knees or tip backward. Stretches calf and hamstrings, warms up Achilles and ankles. Repeat 5 to 10 times.
3. Roll and Rock and Roll: Follow the Rock and Roll stretch, but alternate feet so one is rolling to the toes and one is rocking back. Repeat 5 to 6 times.
4. The Lean: Place your hands on a wall, parallel and slightly above your head. With one leg in front of the other and your arms forward, press with your palms as if you were leaning on the wall. Keep your back leg straight and your front foot on the floor, then bend the front leg and lean forward by moving your hips toward the wall. Hold for a count of five, then repeat on the other side. Stretches calf and Achilles. Repeat 5 to 6 times.

Love these shoes! (2010-05-17)
I have problems with my feet and knees and am a very large woman, over two hundred pounds, so I took a chance getting these shoes. Since I usually wear double wide shoes I was afraid to buy the wide in the ladies shoe so I bought the wide in the men's at my regular length. It fits perfectly. You do learn how to walk all over again but it's not difficult. Just look at the pictures they send with the shoes. Once I got my Skecher's I realized so many of the women in the nursing home where I work already had and loved them! And what a variety of colors. Even in the black you can get the leather (shiny) look or the suade (duller) look. I got the duller color. Looks good although they are a strange looking shoe. And wear them indoors for a few hours to get used to them. Once you've worn them outside you cannot return them. Not that you will want to !

I have MBTs as well but skechers offers wide. MBTs seem to have better quality footbed but price is much higher. This type of shoe helps relieve footpain if you stand all day. Only Skechers offers wide widths. good buy.

Wonderful results with Skechers Shape Ups (2010-05-04)
I bought my Skecher Shape Ups in early February of this year. I am a 66 year-old male. I had been walking 3 miles per day, but my knees and hips often hurt during and after my walk. The first time I wore the Shape Ups, my knees and hips did not hurt. It is now early May, and they still don't hurt during or after my walks. I have increased my distance to 4 miles per day, and I have cut 1-2 minutes per mile off my time (15-16 minutes per mile down to 14-15 minutes per mile).
I ride a recumbent bicycle 70 miles per week and had noticed some painful calluses on the bottom of my feet caused by the pedals. Because of the thickness of the Shape Up soles, I no longer have the calluses.
In March I bought a second pair so I would have one pair for workouts and a second pair for everyday.
